Emaar Properties plans to launch sales of the second phase of its Maple town houses at the 2,700-acre Dubai Hills Estate community on Saturday.
Emaar’s launch of the three-to-five bed town houses within Mohammed bin Rashid City (MBR City) will take place simultaneously in Dubai and in Oman’s capital, Muscat.
Maple 2 comprises 666 town houses that will range in size from 2,200 square feet to 2,700 sq ft. Prices start at just under Dh2 million for a three-bedroom property.
Emaar said a limited number will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis at the Emaar Pavilion on Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard in Dubai and at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Muscat. It added that it would give preferred access to investors who are willing to place a down payment of 30 per cent of the property’s value and to agree to retain ownership at least until handover.
Emaar said that residents will have access to amenities including two new hotels, retail units, a tennis academy, 18-hole golf course and a number of cafes and restaurants, as well as parks and nature trails.
“Maple 2 town houses are the first of their kind in the city with the focus on green living,” said Ahmad Al Matrooshi, the managing director of Emaar Properties. “The extensive green landscapes and natural trails make Maple 2 homes the first choice for end-use homeowners and customers who seek long-term value.”
Speaking at the recent launch of its third-quarter market report, the head of Cavendish Maxwell’s development advisory unit, Adam Wisher, said that MBR City would be “a key area of focus and activity going forward” as Dubai expands.
The property consultancy identified 11,000 units within the city to which a “significant level of commitment” had been made in terms of their development. These included 4,500 villas at the US$4 billion Sobha Hartland scheme, 2,200 units at Meydan Heights and 760 units at Dubai Hills.
